The construction laboratory technician performs a wide range of samples and tests of construction materials in the laboratory and in the field. It is the second oldest engineering discipline after military engineering and is defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering. a civilian laboratory technician works in the public sector from municipalities to national governments and in the private sector from individual homeowners to international companies.
