Diploma In Petroleum Oil & Gas Course In Gujranwala Gujrat,International College Of Technical Education Offer Diploma In Petroleum Oil & Gas Course In Gujranwala Gujrat , Diploma In Petroleum Oil & Gas Course In Gujranwala Gujrat , This course broadens your technical skills in essential areas directly relevant to the oil and gas sector. It is ideal if you are intending to pursue a management career in the oil and gas industry, or if you are already working in the sector and would like to develop management skills and knowledge at master’s level. Graduates from a range of technical, non-technical and commercial backgrounds are eligible to apply. The course offers several optional themes to direct you into specialist areas of knowledge such as project management, economics and finance and environmental management. The 60-credit dissertation module allows you to conduct a supervised research project developing original knowledge in a specific area of oil and gas management. The course addresses the different steps in the development of an oil- and gas field from exploration, field development, production to shut-down. Topics included: Petroleum geology: Geological processes, forming and properties of rock formations, structures, reservoir rock formation, accumulation of petroleum. Geophysics: Collection and investigation of seismic data, petrophysical and other geophysical data. Example of combination of geological and seismic data to produce 3-dimensional pictures of the internal of the earth. Well drilling: Systems and methods for drilling and well construction. Formation evaluation and reservoir engineering: Analysis of data collected by logging and core sampling in the borehole. Methods and procedures for calculating oil and gas volume, and methods for optimized production. Petroleum production: Well flow calculations, methods for separation of oil and gas, including alternative solutions for oil- and gas field development.Learning outcome Ingress: Students are required to have a good overview and understanding of the lifecycle of an oil/gas-field.Knowledge: The students are required to have a good overview and understanding of the lifecycle of an oil/gas-field including exploration, development, production, maintenance and shutdown. They are also required to have basic understanding of geological processes and accumulation of hydrocarbons, acquisition and use of seismic data, systems and methods for drilling of wells and well construction, formation evaluation and reservoir engineering and petroleum production.
Skills: Students must be able to describe the different stages in the lifecycle of an oil/gas-field, and also be able to understand the most important documents and plans for development and production of an oil/gas-field. They are also required to understand the basic elements of drilling programs and make simple estimates of important parameters. From the reservoir part of the course students are required to perform simple calculations of fluid distribution and transport in porous media. Use of subject-specific digital tools including programming where relevant. The first part of the course will introduce the student to the design and implementation of the systems used in the extraction of oil and gas, including terminology and basic calculations in drilling engineering, geology, production, reservoir, and facilities engineering. The course will
give an initial overview of the history of the oil industry and the origins of petroleum and natural gas reservoirs, followed by a description of the conventional and unconventional reservoir types. All aspects of petroleum engineering from upstream to downstream will be included in this discussion, including transportation, marketing, and environmental impacts. The remainder of the course will present the various key
disciplines in petroleum and natural gas engineering in the chronological order of how the disciplines interact. Key problems in each of these disciplines will be reviewed and solved, using Excel and introductory statistics/computer programming (using Matlab). First, the discipline of drilling engineering will be presented. This will focus on the different types of wells, bits, casing designs, and completion techniques. Topics
in the discipline of reservoir engineering will be presented next and will include basic petrophysics, reservoir types and fluids, as well as basic extraction methods. The life cycle of a reservoir and its efficient and environmental friendly management will be discussed, including enhanced oil recovery methods, such as carbon dioxide injection
and surfactant flooding. Topics in production engineering will be presented next, and will center on tubing design, artificial lift, stimulation using acids and fracturing, and cased-hole logging. Topics in facility engineering, the last discipline to be discussed, will focus on surface facilities such as separators, gas and water gathering systems, pipelines, stock tanks, chokes, and recycle plants..Admission open for boys and girls and queries call ,
