The Curriculum of DAE Mechanical Technology offered at various institutes of ICTE, has been designed to teach students to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, workshop practice and Engineering Drawing and Graphics & advances.
In the 1st year, basic subjects' teaching i.e. fundamentals of technology accompanied by allied (i-e Workshop Practice & Drawing) and related studies (Applied Maths., Chemistry, Physics etc.) are taught.
2nd year involves the training in broader field with medium complexity level from Metallurgy, further raising awareness regarding Metrology and Applied Electricity and Electronics.
In the final year, students will be taught how to analyze multifarious technology glitches in more practical way by carrying out Industrial Planning and Production Methods and studying advanced level subjects like Complex Workshop Practice , CAD/CAM , CNC Machines etc.
In this diploma course students are given training in drawing, wood work, welding, metal work, machining, milling, hydraulics and testing etc. Mechanical technology is known as an ever green trade and candidates possessing DAE in mechanical have always been in demand as essential staff.

This course general introduction to engineering materials used in design and manufacturing. Topics include mechanical, physical, and chemical properties of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, ceramics, glass, and composites. The course will cover material sources, formation and production. Emphasis is on material selection for mechanical design purposes based on material properties and manufacturability. The course will cover different aspects of material testing and field trips to local material testing labs as permitted.
Mechanical technology classes include both classwork and hands-on experience with machines. Students will learn practical skills to repair, create, and test new materials. Programs are based on the principles of mechanical engineering and take 2-4 years.
Courses in a mechanical technology program are comprehensive and rich in mathematics, science, and engineering. Typically, undergraduate programs require 120-140 credits, which include core courses and various electives. Students can go into robotics, computer-aided design, and automation control upon the completion of these manufacturing programs.
