This Diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration will provide the learner with the knowledge of operating principles of various air conditioning systems, components of air conditioning and refrigeration, repairing and servicing air conditioners, applying safety measures, applying thermodynamic and heat transfer theory in air conditioning systems. In addition, you will be equipped with Employment Law, Management Production Planning and Control, and Work Study.Air conditioners circulate and filter air, removing pollutants and mold from the air. This is especially important for people who suffer from allergies and asthma because it minimizes the irritants that trigger an attack. This only holds true, however, if your system is kept clean and filters are regularly changed. Otherwise, the AC can actually contribute to indoor air pollution.As Refrigerators become more advanced, the world has seen a growing need for refrigeration experts. This is because, today’s refrigerators are expected to provide multiple utilities. From cooling food to preserving it for a longer period and also repelling insects, a refrigerator does a lot more today that it used to. This means that there is a need for updated skills in the field of Refrigeration repair and maintenance. AIT&PE has designed its refrigeration courses keeping in mind the needs of present time.The Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating* program teaches the skills required to diagnose, maintain, and repair residential air conditioning and commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment. Students learn refrigeration through work with freezers, cold rooms, and ice machines. Federal environmental reclamation and recycling standards are taught. In

the air conditioning and heating portion of the course, students are taught current technology relating to central air conditioning and window units, heat pumps, gas and oil-fired furnaces, and related ductwork. Principles of alternative energy are taught through radiant heat.

Responsibilities OF AC Technician:

The air conditioning technicians install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioner.

They ventilate equipment and controls making sure they operate efficiently and continuously.

They perform regular maintenance work on cooling units.

They diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.

They install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged.

They make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.

They install new air-conditioning systems and equipment.

They clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors.

They make plans and designs of new air-conditioning systems including their installation and maintenance.

This Course provides a simple understanding of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning fundamentals. Ideally suited to those with a little or no knowledge of the subject. The course consists of different refrigeration cycles and understanding of psychrometry and psychrometric processes used for the purpose of air-conditioning.
