The NVQ level 6 Diploma inOccupational Health and Safety Practice is completely evaluated by eachcandidates’ competency. Evidence of your competency is based on real world,on-the-job training. You can even use your historic records as evidence tocontribute towards your NVQ qualification. This Level 6 NVQ Diploma inOccupational Health & Safety Practice is aimed at learners who are in ahealth & safety role, or where health & safety takes up a major part(at least 50%) of their role and responsibility. The overall qualification willgive you expertise in areas such as the essentials of health and safetyculture, policy, communications systems, individual and organizationalcompetence, risk control, reactive and proactive monitoring systems, reviewsystems, emergency response systems and procedures and improvements toinfluence health and safety practice. NVQs are designed to be taken at a pacethat suits your needs, so many learners take about six months to a year tocomplete. They are outcome-based with no fixed learning programme, allowingflexibility of delivery to meet your individual needs. To earn a qualification,you must complete ten mandatory units. Recognized route to graduate membershipof IOSH, now at Level 6, the same as a degree, or other recognized diplomas,such as NEBOSH and NCRQ. The NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health andSafety Practice is a new degree level work-based qualification. Thequalification is evaluated by each candidates’ evidence, based on real-world,on-the-job training. You can even use your historic records as evidence tocontribute towards your NVQ qualification. This qualification is recognized byThe Institution of Occupational Health (IOSH) as a route to membership. Thisqualification assures the knowledge of those who influence health and safetystandards within their organizations. If you have successfully completed yourNVQ Level 5 within the last 5 years, or are in the process of completing an NVQLevel 5, it may be possible to update your qualification to Level 6. Yourportfolio of evidence will need to be reassessed and transferred. We are unableto reassess evidence from more than 5 years ago as this is considered outdated.The NVQ level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice iscompletely evaluated by each candidates’ competency.
