The objective of the OTHM Level 3Certificate in Business Studies qualification is to provide learners with an indepth understanding of the operations and structure of businesses. Successfulcompletion of this qualification will equip learners with some of theunderpinning knowledge and skills required to succeed in employment or furtherstudies. The qualification Business Studies at Level 3 has been developed toconform to regulatory requirements to meet the requirements of employers, theneeds of learners and our centers. This qualification is not tied to anyspecific industry, but delivers the knowledge, understanding and skills thatmeet the needs of learners aspiring to roles in Business and AdministrativeManagement in different sectors on a domestic and international platform.

We provide a flexible route forlearners who have already achieved qualifications in Business andAdministrative Management at a lower level and for learners who do not havemanagement qualifications, but have qualifications in other areas and/or priorexperience the workplace. The Diploma allows learners to acquire a range ofknowledge and understanding and to develop some of the key skills required towork as an administrative manager. OTHM Qualifications are approved andregulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).OTHM has progression arrangement with several UK universities that acknowledgesthe ability of learners after studying Level 3-7 qualifications to beconsidered for advanced entry into corresponding degree year/top up andMaster’s/top-up programmes.

OTHM ensures that learners admitted tothe programme have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake thelearning and assessment criteria. OTHM Centre must ensure learners arerecruited with integrity onto appropriate qualifications that will meet theirneeds, enable and facilitate learning and achievement enable progression. Thequalification is offered in English. English requirements: If a learner is notfrom a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of Englishlanguage competency. Equivalences OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 3 representpractical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed inacademic terms as being equivalent to GCE AS/A Levels.

Qualification structure The Level3 Certificate in Business Studies qualification consists of 2 mandatory unitsplus 1 optional unit for a combined total of 30 credits, 300 TotalQualification Hours (TQT) and 180 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completedqualification.
