The basic computer course syllabus is developed keeping in mind the requirements of students who wish to work with computers regardless of prior knowledge of the field. The fundamentals and the basics of computers are the areas that need to be taught in nearly every syllabus for computer basics.The subjects covered in the various computer syllabus may vary based on the type of course, duration, and area of expertise. The areas that are covered in the fundamental Computer Course syllabus include computer fundamentals, office productivity tools, internet and web technologies, programming, database management systems, networking, and cybersecurity. The course consists of an introduction to basic vocabulary and terminology related to computer and word processing, Microsoft Word, the Internet, web search and email. Students will also use of different computer language software and programs to practice English. An attempt will be made to support all students’ individual needs.this course is for people who have never touched a computer, though computer users will learn many new things too. This course (or equivalent experience) is prerequisite to the other computer courses listed below. We look at:

• The physical parts of a computer (CPU, keyboard, monitor, mouse, etc.)and how they work

• Navigating the Windows desktop

• File and folder management, libraries, Windows Explorer

• Using programs

• Connecting to networks and the internet

This course is specifically designed and developed to meet the needs of adults who need to learn technology at a slower rate. You will be introduced to learning basic techniques of computers usage from discovering how to start up the machine, operate the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and printer. You will learn how to use Windows operating system, Microsoft Word, how to create, edit and save useful documents. We will also cover Internet search tips and how to send emails and attachments, and ways to keep your computer virus free. This is a very practical course directed to beginning computer users and what they need to know.Basic computer skills courses cover the most common usages of a computer, including a majority or all of the following: understanding the basic notions of computer manipulation; managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations; finding information and communicating using computers; and being aware of social and ethical implications of Internet use.
