HVACR technicians, also known as HVACR technicians, are responsible for the installation,

maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. These

professionals work in industrial, residential and commercial settings. The Air Conditioning (AC)

Diploma course teaches students the function and design of air conditioning systems. These programs

explain the inner workings of AC systems and the various components involved in AC system design.

The Diploma Program in Air Conditioning Engineering provides students with hands-on skills through

hands-on work with real air conditioning systems. Students learn how to identify problems in these

systems and how best to fix them. Understand how to safely work with AC powered systems, including

installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of AC powered systems. Students seeking

admission to the HVAC graduate program must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Central air conditioners circulate cool air through a system of supply and return ducts. Supply

ducts and registers (i.e., openings in the walls, floors, or ceilings covered by grills) carry

cooled air from the air conditioner to the home. This cooled air becomes warmer as it circulates

through the home; then it flows back to the central air conditioner through return ducts and

registers. To learn how central air conditioners compare to other cooling systems.Air conditioners

often use a fan to distribute the conditioned air to an occupied space such as a building or a car

to improve thermal comfort and indoor air quality. Electric refrigerant-based AC units range from

small units that can cool a small bedroom, which can be carried by a single adult, to massive units

installed on the roof of office towers that can cool an entire building. Cooling is usually done by

a refrigeration cycle, but evaporative or free cooling is sometimes used. Air-conditioning systems

can also be built on desiccants (chemicals that remove moisture from the air) and underground pipes

that allow the heated refrigerant to be distributed above ground for cooling.

The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems course is designed to provide skills in repairing

and maintaining home systems. This includes the knowledge and skills needed to keep up with today's

technological advances in refrigeration and air conditioning. This diploma course provides basic

information and skills in maintaining, repairing and performing other maintenance tasks for modern

domestic refrigerators and air conditioners.
